                                            Question : Hello Sir,
I have little pain on the upper left side of my stomach for last 2 years and i have under gone endoscopy.
Endoscopy Results: Oesophagus- normal, Stomach - Normal, Part I & Part II Duodenum - Normal, OG junction - Lax XXXXXXX with Hiatus Hernia and prolapsing gastric mucosa. Nodule+ taken. Mild pangastritis. H Pylori - Negative.
Biopsy Results: Shows OG junction mucosa with esophageal showing mederate epithelial hyperplasia. Gastric mucosa shows polypoidal change with foveolar hyperplasia. Lamina propria shows moderate increase in lymphocytes, plama cells and neutrophils. There is no evidence of intestinal metaplasia. Impression : OG junction biospy with gastric polypoidal regenerative hyperplasia and no evidence of intestinal metaplasia.
I was taking tablet for 15 days and now i have stop taking NEKSION 20MG. Again iam getting pain in the OG Junction. Please suggest what i can do?

                                    Brief Answer:
continue medication for at least 8 weeks
Detailed Answer:
You seem to have gerd ( gastroesophageal reflux disease).
I would advise you take neksium continuously for a period of 8 weeks . in case the symptoms persist after 8 weeks you might need to take it on a long term basis.
I would advice you to
Avoid , tobacco, alcohol, chocolate flavoured and mint flavoured foods, carbonated drinks and red meat
Avoid lying within 3 hours of meals.
Restrict tea or coffee to less than 2 cups per day
Get regular exercise like brisk walk.
Hope this helps
Do get back in case you have further queries
