What Causes Pain In Upper Left Thigh?
Question: I have had a pain in my upper left thigh for 2 days now and cant seem to get ride of it
Brief Answer:
Rest, elevation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Any bone pain has to be evaluated thoroughly in a 72 year old. It could be osteoporosis and then fracture even with simple trauma that we could not predict. Also there are some obvious reasons to check why the pain is for more than 48 hours.
So if a person of your age comes to be with bone pain, I would suggest a Xray first to go further with management. If the Xray has no fracture and no signs of osteoporosis I would ask them to rest on bed without walking with elevation of the limb for at least 48 hours. I would prescribe a Tramazac at a very low dose.
Hope you understood what I am trying to say here and head to a local GP.
