Question : Pain starting in my upper right side above my chest and down through the bottom of my back below my shoulder.

Such pain is very characteristic for gallstones. Especially if you have also some nausea and the pain has started after a meal.
I suggest you to have abdominal ultrasound done. In case of gallstones, surgery is necessary to remove whole gallbladder.

If no gallstones is found, you should consider spine disc problem and consult orthopedist as a second step.
