What Causes Pain In Upper Stomach And Vomiting?

Question: Hi,
Thanks for this opportunity. I am in my early 50s, Briefly I was a skin care therapist /electrolygist / nail technician for 10 yrs using multiple chemicals/solvents which later developed into years of multiple chemical sensitivities resulting in severe headaches weakness, collapses, unconciousness, mild seizures all induced after inhalation of environmental toxic chemicals as well as fragrances perfumes washing powders on peoples clothes etc. Medications have very adverse effects i.e. if i need paracetamol ( mild pain relief - I will collapse next day) My plan has been avoidance and as much fresh air I can get night and day winter and summer as well as a high protein shakes to neutralize the effects of exposure before it takes effect. My concern now is stomach problems developing from the obvious high fat protein diet. It is difficult to digest too much fat in foods and some high fibre foods and seeds/grains don't seem to digest properly. About 4 weeks ago I started on a gentle bowel cleanse for 1 week and lighter meals to lose a little access weight. I began a healthy diet of no fat no sugar highly nutritious foods. Have been woken in the night last 2 weeks with pain upper stomach area after berries that day, burps I can't seem to get up for several hours after eating. Slight pain under right ribs and a squishy feeling lasting several hours on right side. ( Wind I presume)( I also had a crush injury when I fell forward over a fence about a year ago to the same stomach area dislocating 2 lower ribs.) A week ago I woke at night nearly vomitted and last night after eating soft food, soup & no fat that day I did vomit everything up & went to a doctor today awaiting ultrasound scan appointment & blood test results. My concern is having to think about ( in my condition) going into hospital due to the use of cleaning products, solvents etc in most rooms & possibly facing any surgery which could induce a coma or seizure as has happened with past. A specialist I had previously performed an EEG where I reacted to a sollution given to drink for an awake /asleep brain test and I did not wake up properly. Permanent damage was done, poor concentration, fine motors skills for my work place were gone plus much more still effects me today along with the mcs.
I have read as much as I can about gall stones (my Mother had them out) risk of pancreaitis, blocked ducts etc, capsules you can swallow to take pictures inside your stomach. Would there be any procedures that may work for me without being put to sleep to operate if this was needed.

Brief Answer:
I don't think you might need procedure/surgery

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX

At the outset, I do not like the way you been treating your body. I understand you are concerned about your health; but sudden and abrupt changes on the digestive system can cause problems.

That being said, based on your description I feel the pain episodes and the vomit spells most likely are results of dyspepsia. The sudden change in your diet or the bowel cleaning process may have induced it. It was a good move to get ultrasound scan and blood tests. If the tests are normal, I would start you on a course of proton pump inhibitor with a less spicy and caffeine restricted diet before performing endoscopic procedures.

I would like to leave options open, if the scan and blood tests revealed abnormalities. So please wait for the results with no fears of sophisticated and surgery. It is less likely that you will need it.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
