Brief Answer:
There is possibility of bone bruise

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

From your description there is possibility of bone bruise or contusion after injury.Bone bruises do not show up on X-rays, but an X-ray can confirm that a fracture is not present.

The diagnosis of a bone bruise is mainly based on MRI.This is the best way to find out whether the patient suffers from a bone bruise.

I suggest you to go for both x-ray and MRI of knee. You can send me the reports or consult with your doctor.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Take care
