Brief Answer:
Pain likely to be musculoskeletal pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Mr XXXXXXX

Backache is unlikely to be due to Splenomegaly. Going by your report spleen is only slightly more in size, normal spleen span is between 11 to 13 cm.

The cause of pain is likely to be due to vigorous exercise you are doing. Splenomegaly just being a incidental finding discovered while investigation the cause of backache. It would be helpful if you could provide the detailed report.

I would suggest you the following which will help decrease pain

1. Avoid exercise and physical stress. Bed rest for couple of days will be very helpful

2. Hot water fomentation either by application of hot water bag or cloth dipped in hot water will help relieve muscle spasm and relieve pain

3. Analgesics like Ibuprofen will be helpful to relieve pain

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Thank you so much Dr XXXXXXX I will scan & send you the report soon & some pain relieve tablets.

Few more query do I need to worry for a prolonged timeframe?
I can't do excercises as before?
Will the spleen goes back to its normal size again? Do I need to make a check up done again just to verify it?

Thanks & Regards

Brief Answer:
Do not exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear Mr XXXXXX

Do not exercise till you have pain . Once the pain subsides you can slowly start graded exercise. I would suggest you to get Complete blood count along with Peripheral smear examination done, if thats fine then splenomegaly you need not be worried. A repeat scan after 6 months is all that is required.
Will be waiting for scanned report of your Ultrasound.

Do follow the advise as previously mentioned.

Wishing you great health.

Regards
Deepak
