Brief Answer:
Does not seems to be worrisome.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

As per the details that you have shared there does not seems to be a problem.

When even there is injury the blood supply to the area increase and there is swelling over the part and you can see a bump and feel pain when you touch it. This is a natural reaction to injury and happens.

Normally it subsides in a day or two with or without medicines. Medicines fastens the recovery.

When ever the impact of injury is great there are chances of injury to brain inside the skull bones and there is pressure on the part of brain where there is injury. When injury is severe the patient looses consciousness and there are other symptoms.

In such cases, any pressure on brain leads to headache, vomiting and related problems depending upon the site of injury. That is the reason why your doctor as asked you to report back if you experience any of this. This is common set of instruction given to all.

Please take medicines as advised, take rest and relax.

Take light diet, keep regular follow up with your doctor.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Dr.Pragnesh

Thanks Doctor.

Im feeling better now. The pain has started to reduce. Not healed completely but on factor of getting it soon.Do you think i should go for any scanning to confirm that im perfectly alright. If so when should i take scan.By God's grace i didn't come across any symptoms as my family physicians advice. So can i take this as a call not to worry about this and will be back to normal in few days. The reason for me being more concerned about this incident is im a software engineer. My work depends on logical thinking and sometimes i stress myself more.

Please do advice.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Please continue same treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Good to hear from you again.

I think further workup is not needed as you are not having any symptoms or complaints which suggest some internal injury.

At times in severe impact symptoms can develop later up to 72 hours so,normally we keep watch upto 72 hours for problems related to this.

I can appreciate your concern, but it seems that you are doing fine and scan is not required.

Do regular follow up with your doctor and take medicines as advised.

Wishing you speedy recovery.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Could be due to concussion

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Good to hear from you again.

Whenever there injury to the head there is a small amount of jerk to the brain inside known as concussion. The symptoms that you are having pain, nausea etc are due to that.

This does not require any special treatment except the one that you are taking.

Just relax, take medicines as per advise and continue your routine work.

You can do ice pack application or hot water message anything that you are comfortable with.

I think you should be fine in couple of days.

In case of any sudden increase in headache or vomiting which is very less likely please see your doctor.

Regards.
