Brief Answer:
Low grade infection

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
This appears to be a low grade infection of the glands on the lid margin.I would have been happy to see a photograph. There is some more information I would like to have, is there discharge in the eye, more so in the morning ?
You are doing right by giving hot compress. That has to continue for the time being. That apparently is not enough. We have to have oral antibiotics like say Doxy cycline 100 mg.twice a day if you can procure in the local pharmacy. We need antibiotic eye ointment like Neosporine, Gentycin, erythromycineor tetracycline.Ointments are better than drops because they have a lasting effect and reach the target place that's the lid margin.
Oral anti inflammatory will also act as pain killers are also needed
Any further query in this regard please do get back to me
