Question : Hi, I have a pain under my right breast while bending over to touch toes, in yoga and gardening, almost like something getting in the way, I am Female age 48 and do yoga regularly, the teacher says to get it checked out, I have to stand up quickly. I was feeling breast and think there may be a slight thickening at the bottom. Doesn't happen all the time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case with diligence.

There is possibility of benign lump in your breast.
I will advise to consult your treating doctor for clinical examination of breast and then we can do required investigation.
Mammography and ultrasound may help for detail diagnosis.

Another possibility of your origin of pain can be neural.
Due compression of nerve in cervical and thoracic region can give rise to such pain.
As on excessive stretching or pressure you are facing pain.

So I will advise for clinical examination and as required MRI spine screening.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.

Thank you, I have an appointment with GP tomorrow morning, I would like to ask why this only happens while bending over, almost like a rib folding over another, do you feel it has anything to do with yoga ? Or gardening ? I am a hairdresser by profession. Do you feel it has anything to do with Lungs ? Thanks again

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Your symptoms suggest pain is due to pressure.
Relation with yoga may be due to strain but not actual cause of pain.
There can be lesion in soft tissue which gives pressure symptoms.
Association of lung can be less likely

Thank you for response, I saw my GP today his diagnosis is the ribs closing together due to muscle spasm, the cause being a back problem which was manipulated and has relieved symptoms, I have an exercise to do every morning to keep from happening again. I thought I would let you know for future reference, thank you kindly for your time.
