Question : I'm a kidney transplant patient with gallstone. My right side underneath the ribcage has been hurting all day mainly in the from side to back I've been taking Tylenol 500 - 750mg it does relieve the pain a bit . In a scale from 1 - 10 I would say it's a 6 - 7 and my breast bone has been feeling sore since Sunday
Brief Answer:
the gall stone is the probable cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, as you said you have a gallstone, this well may be the cause if your problem of pain under the rib cage. Gallstone leads to inflammation of the gall bladder and may even lead to pancreatitis. So its important to get your LFTs (Liver tests) & USG (Ultrasound) of abdomen through your GP and proceed accordingly. The pain is moderate intensity so I suggest you not to waste more time before you head to the GP.
Breast bone pain may also be related to this syndrome. No over the counter pain preparations work.
Hope this helps.
