Question : Hello, I am having pain when taking deep breath, under my right ribs. When I take deep breath, i feel acute pain sometimes even while walking. This has started since morning today. I have had history of GERD and Hiatal Hernia last year. Please advice on what can that be. Regards XXXX

Brief Answer: Ultrasound scan Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. Pain under the ribs on the right side indicate gall bladder pathology. I suggest you to get a Ultrasound scan done which could identify the exact cause of the same. If you have pain in the ribs then it is most likely to be due to muscular spasm. In that case application of painkiller gel like DICLOFENAC gel will treat the problem well. The reports you have attached are old. I consider a repeat scan is necessary. Wish you good health.
