Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Bile leak is an early complication of gallbladder surgery. It does not occur as late as 8 weeks after the surgery.
Stricture of the bile can however occur. Stricture means narrowing.
I would advise you to get an ultrasound scan and a liver function test done.
If both of these do not show anything abnormal, then other causes of pain should be looked in to like an acid peptic disease or even muscle pain.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K
