Brief Answer:
You should be investigated.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Pain below rib cage on right side could be due to Liver problem or Gall bladder stones. On left side, there will be spleen,Descending colon below rib cage.
Ultrasound abdomen will give a clue. It will also rule out Left sided kidney stones.
I will suggest you get back to the doctor. Your doctor can order ultrasound scan. If Ultrasound abdomen is normal, then the pain could be of musculoskeletal cause.I prescribe skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside 4mg twice daily to my patients with musculoskeletal pain.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
