Brief Answer:
warm saline gargles....
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Usually, cold fluids would cause congestion of blood vessels in the throat. This congestion that causes pain / soreness is temporary. Since you report that pain is persistent along with cough, the cold beer is not directly related. Your current symptoms could be due to minor trauma or secondary to a viral infection.
I will suggest you to try warm salt water gargles along with antihistamine (cetrizine 10mg at night) and antacid drugs for couple of days. If symptoms persist, you should visit a doctor for further clinical evaluation.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
Regards
