Brief Answer:
Due to post traumatic stiffness.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain with limited range of motion in the injured knee could be due to post traumatic stiffness.
You can help the improvement by-
1. Avoid any strenuous knee exercises, lifting weights, climbing stairs, cycling, etc.
2. Take a mild pain killer like acetaminophen every 8 hourly.
3. Do a hot fomentation in the area twice daily.
4. You can apply a local analgesic gel like Volini also.
5. Use an elastic knee brace for better knee support while walking.
Regular physiotherapy will help in increasing the range of movement gradually.
I hope this answers your query.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The pain in the groin could be due to a nerve compression or bursitis or ligament tear. An MRI scan will help in proper diagnosis.
