Brief Answer:
sounds like esophagitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

it sounds like esophagitis. Despite the fact that esophagitis pain is usually felt in the front, the relation of your discomfort with eating or drinking and its burning quality, makes esophagitis possible. Do you have acid reflux? Do you have symptoms when lying down?

Advil is not supposed to get the symptom better. It can even make things worse sometimes. An upper gastrointestinal endoscopy would diagnose or rule out esophagitis. The endoscopy may also diagnose other gastrointestinal conditions which may - less commonly - cause this symptom. Proton pump inhibitors is a good choice for its treatment, when the diagnosis is certain.
