                                            likely sinus congestion
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
Your symptoms are likely related to acute sinus congestion. Blockage of the sinuses can be bilateral (involve both sides of the face) or unilateral.
It can be associated with a range of symptoms, with some or all occurring: (1)headache,
(2)ear pain and fullness of the ear( due to co existing dysfunction of the eusthachian tube)
(3)facial pain
(4)nasal congestion
(5)sneezing, coughing, post nasal symptoms
It can occur due to allergies, viral infection or bacterial infection.
You may want to consider the following: (1) warm (not hot) compress to the face to encourage drainage of secretions
(2)steam inhalation- this would also help with drainage
(3)decongestants- both oral and topical would be helpful. These are available over the counter.
(4)anti histamines
(5)rest and fluids
(6)topical steroid nasal sprays would also help reduce the symptoms- this may require a prescription
(7)pain killer- you should consider an anti inflammatory pain killer such as ibuprofen/naproxen/cataflam
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
