Question : The last 2 nights I have experienced pain like cramps running up the front of my foot and up my leg.

I am so sorry to hear about these cramps that you have reported. The commonest cause is decreased blood flow to these areas when you lie and there is pressure on and compression of the blood vessels. I will recommend that you drink much water as well as take regular physical exercise walks so as to improve on blood perfusion to these organs. During sleep, try to adopt different positions to see which allows for least episodes of muscle cramps.
