HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Viruses or bacteria can be passed on through eating/drinking. In most persons the symptoms last no more than 5 to 7 days but they can sometimes go on for longer periods.

Treatment is symptomatic (treat symptoms only, not the cause) : (1) paracetamol can be used to help ease the pain

(2)hold off all solid food till there is a 4 hour time period with no symptoms.... no watery stool or vomiting if that starts.

If you use food while having symptoms, they may last for longer because the intestines are not working well right now and cannot absorb food

When this 4 hour time period passes then you can start with small amounts of dry foods such as toast or biscuits or plain rice.
Banana is sometimes used as well

(3)fluids are very important to prevent or treat dehydration. Oral rehydration fluids or dilute sport drinks can be used

(4)probiotics- if you can get some probiotics they would help as well

(5)medications such as peptobismol may help with the watery stool

Ginger or peppermint tea would help as well

If the pain is severe then it would be best to be seen by a doctor

I hope this helps , feel free to ask any other questions
