Question : I'm a 54 yr old female in menopause. Recently it is painful to have intercourse, it feels like my uterus is out of place. I believe also because of the pain, it causes dryness, since certainly not enjoyable. Could this be possible at me age? I also have two children in their 20's and were both natural births. had tubes tied 4 years ago. Hot flashes are brutal, tried everything and can find no relief.

What you are experiencing are typical menopausal symptoms due to oestrogen depletion, with vaginal dryness and accompanied atrophic vaginitis causing pain during intercourse and also classical hot flushes,
I would suggest you to try ESTRIOL VAGINAL CREAM thrice a week for 1 months and then twice a week for another 2 months. This shall help you solve your concerns in a great way and improve your sex life as well. You may get it prescribed by your PCP. For uterine lower abdomen pain , i would suggest a ultrasound pelvis as a baseline to check for any adnexal masses or cysts if any which can be cause of pain sometimes,
