Brief Answer:
could be lymph node swelling

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

Swelling with pain in arm pit could be most commonly due to lymphnode enlargement. Next common causes are a boil or sebaceous cyst.

If skin over the swelling is yellowish and appears straight way like filled with pus then it needs to be drained.

If skin over swelling appears normal then I usually prescribe a course of antibiotics like cephalosporins. After a week if it doesn't subside then I advice FNAC.

I suggest you to continue your antibiotics and if it doesn't reduce in size by 1 week get an FNAC done. By FNAC clear diagnosis may be made. It is opd procedure.

It would be better if you can send a picture of the swelling. I may add some more information.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
