Brief Answer:
may be any cause of neuralgia- nerve related pain

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pain would likely be classified as neuralgia which is nerve related pain.

Neuralgia is due to neuropathy which is abnormal function of the nerves. Fibromyalgia is one cause of neuropathy but there are others.

The other causes of neuralgia (nerve pain) include: (1) diabetes that has affected the nerves
(2)liver or kidney disease
(3)low vitamin b12 or folate levels
(4)abnormal levels of vitamin b6, either high or low levels of this vitamin can cause neuropathy
(5)trauma along any path of the nerves
(6)exposure to toxins
(7)thyroid disease- abnormal levels of thyroid hormones can cause problems
(8)side effect of medication
(9)infections
(10)conditions such as ms
(11)rarely some forms of cancer

Because there are so many potential causes of neuralgia (nerve related pain), you would need to see your doctor for assessment to determine the exact cause.

This require a complete history of these symptoms and any other medical conditions. Physical examination and investigations are also needed

Investigations would include a complete blood count, thyroid function tests, liver and kidney function, vitamin levels, diabetes screening.
C reactive protein and ESR would also be done- they are non specific inflammatory markers that go up with any inflammation in the body - infection, allergies, cancer, trauma

You may need referral to a neurologist for nerve conduction tests- these tests check to see if the nerves are working as they should

There are medications that are used to help with neuralgia that may be prescribed for you eg amitriptyline, nortriptyline, tegretol, lyrica, gabapentin

These meds were not originally used for nerve pain but it has been found that they are very useful in this area

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
