What Causes Painful Swelling In The Armpits?
Question: I have swellings in the armpit which is painful. This has happened before also. In a week or so, the pain and swelling goes.

According to your symptoms ie. especially the pain with swelling looks to be a swollen lymph node due to some infection. You need to get it examined by a doctor at the earliest to rule out the cause. If it is confirmatory due to infection then i suggest you to have a course of antibiotic.
If you want some medicine to relieve pain before going to doctor you can take Ibruprofen tablet.

I have had this problem at various instances before. It generally heals on its own in a week or so.
Still, do you recommend that i should consult a Doctor?
Additionally, I have having some medicines for increasing fertility. Can this be one of the causes?
