Question: Causes of a swollen jaw with pain? An xray was done of inside of mouth that showed nothing.

Jaw swelling can be due to various reasons like a various tooth or a viral infection of parotid glands or any infection from ear or any cystic swelling or a lymph node.

I don't believe its a tooth infection because the dentist did not see anything.
