the cream they prescribed is Clotrim/Beta for the tip of his penis and he said the pain while urinating and also after, but complains of pain in the thigh area with cold sweats he also says he is not having an erection like normal. the Doctor had him on the antibiotic for 7 days previous after the 7 day we tried to be intimate and the pain on his penis came back and he had to stop. He also said when he got up this morning the inside of his thigh felt swollen he had trouble walking.

Brief Answer:
Requires a detailed work up to identify the causative bacteria

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for your quick revert.

As per your description, I were to suspect urinary tract infection which has not resolved completely with the antibiotics which were prescribed for 7 days. The fact that he has swelling on the inside of his thigh provisionally looks like a lymph nodal swelling which is suggestive of active infection.

I were to do a detailed workup antibiotic sensitivity(to determine the causative bacteria), blood culture and urine analysis/culture and choose antibiotic depending on the culture sensitivity results.

I would recommend to stop Clotrim/Beta for a while; suggest not to engage in sexual activity unless the infection resolves. Consult your physician as early as for further evaluation and management.

Please feel free to revert for further queries.

Thank you so much for the information it helped him a great deal to know that nothing else is going on you said the same things the Urologist said and he will stop with the cream and we will refrain from any sexual activity until all is clear.
