What is reverse peristalsis?
Brief Answer:
Reverse parastalsis
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for asking again
Reverse parastalsis is parastalsis in opposite direction. In normal cases involuntary smooth muscle contractions occur from food pipe to intestines to propel food from esophagus to intestines. Some times due to irritation of stomach, bloating of stomach, stomach distension the vomiting centres get stimulated and thus cause retro parastalsis. Thus this expels food from stomach with force via food pipe and results in vomiting.
Thanks, Hope this helps you, if you have more doubts you can ask again
