Brief Answer:
This is probably a fungal infection!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this finger tip infection that you have reported. I have reviewed your symptoms fully and am concerned that this could be suggestive of a fungal infection. This would be more likely if this area is itchy.

The truth about fungal infections is that they need to be treated over a very long time, at time 12months, for complete eradication. Because treatment is often lengthy, getting the diagnosis right is a must. For this, I will recommend that you visit your doctor and get a sample from this area for culture. This way, we would identify the exact cause and what drug should be best used to eradicate the infection. The foot cream definitely helps but would not be sufficient because of the long durations and maybe oral tablets that are needed for complete eradication.

In all, possibly a fungal infection. Treatment usually long and requires confirmation before starting. Bring this up to your doctor for culture and treatment.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
