Question: I have a periodic tingling sensation in an area located around my right jaw down my neck to my shoulder area and also encompasses part of face to lower ear lobe. This has become more frequent in the past several weeks. I massage the area and the sensation abates.

Brief Answer:
Facial tics most likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query,

You are probably having facial tics. This can be due to calcium deficiency or in very rare cases they can be related to the facial nerve.

You can take calcium supplements regularly and vitamin b12 1500 micrograms once daily, take this for at least 3 weeks.

If the sensation doesn't subside despite this, do get a CT scan of paranasal sinuses and neck done to rule out any other pathology.

Any further questions are always welcome.

Take care
Thanks and regards
