Brief Answer:
Get a urinalysis and prostate exam.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

The symptoms you are describing of incomplete voiding/urinary retention, urgency, frequency, and urinary incontinence may be from an infection in the prostate or bladder, or inflammation or enlargement of the prostate.

The first thing to do is to go in to be seen by your primary doctor. Your doctor will get a urine specimen to check for infections. He or she should also do a digital prostate exam to feel for enlargement or signs of infection, which can be treated. Your doctor might also want to get a PSA test.

If all of that is ok, then a referral to a urologist would be the next step. A urologist may order an ultrasound of the bladder/urinary tract, and may do other tests, such as checking the volume of urine left in your bladder after urination.

So - your symptoms are not uncommon, and evaluation is needed.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.
