Question : My husband is having severe back pain. He is a heart patient. His pain has been ongoing for 3 days but he has also been told that he has a bulging disc but he says this a new place hurting. He had a light heart attack about 7 wks ago. He had a stent put in and several blood clots dissoved at the time.his 2 week checkup was good at the time. He is in plavix and aspirin. He also has had 2 by passes in 2001 and now has 13 stents as of today plus 5 heart attacks. What would you recommend. His cardiologist is not open today.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
The pain isn't typical for cardiac issues but it is most likely related to spine (muscle and skeletal issues) disorders.
If you were my patient I would recommend to take NSAID drugs such as advil to relieve pain.
If the pain will persist or the pain will increase in intensity you should go to ER.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
