Question : I have an ongoing burning pain in my left thumb bone and now recently in my left shin. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Brief Answer:
Sounds like peripheral neuropathy
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible nerve issue called peripheral neuropathy.
The causes of the peripheral neuropathy are numerous. I would need to know your medical history.
I would suggest doing a nerve conduction study to be sure of the diagnosis.
Sometimes, a nerve biopsy may need to be planned.
Let me know when you get the tests.
Meanwhile, try a prescription for pregabalin and methylcobalamin.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
