Question : For the last 4-5 days or so, I have been getting the chills and slight fever at around the same time in the late afternoons. I take two advil and it promptly gets better. Any ideas?

Hello,

low grade fever without any symptoms besides the chills are usually caused by viral illnesses. In such cases taking paracetamol is preferable to avoid the potential side effects of drugs like advil. If you do have symptoms please let me know which.

In case of a 'simple' viral infection, it usually takes a few days to get better. If it doesn't or if any sign of worsening occurs, clinical assessment by a doctor is recommended.
