Question : Hi there. i have nose bleeding,dark and mucus clots everyday which isn't normal for me and lasts up to 10 minutes, just wondering if i could get any answers of what may cause that to happen?

Hi, thanks for your query. I need more information about your bleeding nose.
From how many days do u have this bleeding per nose? Are u on any medications? Do u have cold attacks ? Do u have habit of nose picking. Any recent blood work? Have u checked your bp?
Bleeding from the nose needs detailed clnicall examination and treatment. Empirically you can take decongestant nasal drops containing xylometazoline and antihistamine+decongestant tablet (phenylephrine and chlorpheneramine maleate ) twice daily for 5 days,if your bp is normal . Keep ice pack on the nose when there is active bleeding, this will stop the bleed. VVitamin c 500 mg thrice a day supplements which are available over the counter can be taken . im not on any medications, no. i take more than 500mg vitamin C a day. it started about a year ago and stopped awhile but now it just suddenly started again. my nose starts to burn a little in the inside and just like that the blood drips...very thin with the mucus clots in there. I haven't checked my blood pressure in awhile since it was all normal that last couple times i did get it checked.and i certainly don't have a habit picking my nose.
