Posted on Mon, 28 Dec 2015
Question: I have suffered from headaches for awhile now but recently Ihave hd a headache that has lasted 3 weeks. It can be anything from mild to severe and a few times has developed into a full blown halo migraine. last week the left side of my face was showing sings of swelling around the orbital socket. The next day my eye had swollen and my vision was impaired. After consulting a dr, he thought I had an eye infection. the medicationhe prescibedmade it worse, I went to the eye dr and he confirmed it was not an infection as well that my eye itself had no issues but that the vision in my left eye had been compromised, we took measures to decrease the swelling and the vision restored, however I still had pressure on the left side of my left eye. The eye itsself is not in pain just a feelng of pressure. My blood results come back in all normal ranges. he has requested a CT scan but i have no idea why or what this could be. symptoms: pressure on the eye always chilled restless legs- they spams to the point i have no controlof their movement headches minor to sever nausea fatigue

Brief Answer:
Not an allergic reaction.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

It is not an allergic reaction, and the CT scan will give the necessary information to have a correct diagnosis.

Possible conditions that may cause your symptoms ( eye swelling and headaches ) include:

1. Cluster headaches ( one of the types of primary headaches )

2. Sinusitis with compromise of the adjacent bone and soft tissue ( cellulitis )

3. Graves' disease ( an autoimmune disease of the thyroid gland that affects soft tissue around the eye(s) too ).

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
