Question : Hello doctor, my wife is 24 year old and having some symptoms since 15 days which are as follows
Nausea, right leg pain since 2 -3 days,swelling on ankle since one day,headache, nerve stress also.

No fever occured, and yes she has swelling in right knee,nerve stress means suddenly sometimes nerve becomes tightened .and she has headache for short duration at 2 -3 days time gap

Isolated inflammation in a single joint should be investigated well. Most of times such swelling occurs due to inflammation secondary infective or metabolic cause.

I suggest her to apply diclofenac gel twice daily over the swollen knee. If the swelling does not subside or if it is progressive, it is important that she meets a Orthopedician. An Xray and MRI also may be advised for.

Nausea and head ache could be associative symptoms, these may subside once the knee pathology is under check.
