What Causes Persistent Pain And Soreness In Right-sided Abdomen Below The Ribcage?

Question: My husband is having a continued soreness in his right side kinda beside his ribs. But the soreness
sometimes moves around to his back a little ways. He has had some test but no one knows why he has this continued soreness in his right side. I wonder if it could be his gall bladder or liver.

He first had this soreness about 7 years ago. The doctor said that there looked like a mass right where it was sore. The doctor gave him some type of antibiotic and he took all the medicine. But over the years it will get sore again and again. The doctor never really knew what the mass seem to be. The soreness is really bothering him more now. He is a bit older now. He has always felt good. He never gets tired and he has a lot of energy most days. We can't figure out what is causes this soreness.

Pain in the right hypochondrium which is right side of abdomen below ribcage can be due to multiple reasons
Strain on intercoastal muscles , costrochondritis, gall stones, cholicystitis, cholangitis, liver problems like hepatitis fatty liver liver cysts, intrahepatic cholestasis, pyogenic liver abcess etc
Acid reflux and ulcers can cause pain in this reigon
Pancreatitis, inflammatory bowl disease , kidney stones, hydronephrosis, pyelonephritis,
Irritable bowl sydrome
Pleuritis pleural effusion lung abcess fractures rib

X ray chest U/S abdomen will clear many things
