Question : my problem is that I cannot run or walk swiftly for more than approximately one km. I feel strong pain in both legs( more in the left leg) which keeps growing if I don't stop and rest for some time. resting subsides the pain. I don't feel any pain during normal walk or during my day-to-day activities.

This has persisted for many years now and I have consulted many doctors for this problem but couldn't get a satisfactory solution. most of the time i have been recommended calcium supplements which I have taken as prescribed but that does not seem to give me a permanent relief. please suggest what shall I do to get rid of this pain. I am really worried.

Brief Answer:
You may have nerve compression in spine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Pain in leg due to walking can be due to vascular or neurological claudication. It can be diagnosed by two tests.
1. MRI of the lumbar spine with canal diameter.
2.Doppler examination of both leg.
These tests wI'll be helpful for you. It can confirm if there is nerve compression or vascular issue. You can share those reports with me . I will try my best to help you.
thanks

Thanks for the quick response.

I will go for the tests, but before that can you suggest some exercises or any other measure which I might take for temporary relief from the pain or any measure to stop it from growing?

thanks
