What Causes Persistent Pain In The Ribs, Fatigue, Profuse Sweating And Weight Loss?

Posted on Fri, 23 Sep 2016
Question: I have an absolute monocyte count of 152, platelet count of 124. Dr ordered xray an ct because I was having rib pain, 8 months healing from 5 broken ribs. A 7 mm pulmonary nodule in the left lower lobe was found. Awaiting results from PET scan. Office said Dr. will go over my results at next appointment, didnt seem concerned. I have Raynaud's. Other symptoms in the last month, persistent tiredness, rest does not help, swelling feeling under ribs when I bend over, stiff knees, severe itch in my arm usually at night, no rash, night sweats, loss of appetite but no weight loss. I also had extreme pain in my left shoulder, subsided. Numb and tingling in my feet, sometimes hand. Of all this, it's the extreme tiredness that bothers me the most, very hard to get through a work day.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about blood test.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your monocytes count is normal. Your platelet count is slightly low normal but it may be due to some viral infection. Nothing to worry about your blood test.

You have solitary pulmonary nodule. Most of the time it is benign and detected accidentally. But it may be early cancer. Chances are low but we have to investigate.

PET scan is diagnostic in solitary pulmonary nodule.

Give me follow up with PET scan report.

Other symptoms are due to your raynaud disease. So take treatment for that.

Hope I have answered your question. if you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
