Question : Yes my husband has a presist severe dead rotting smell from his butt, that doesn't go away with bathing, don't know what else to try begining to worry

Hi,

I understand your concern.

Persistent rotten smell is because of anaerobic bacterial infections. Anus and lower gut are known to attract those bacteria. So we need to examine your husband with anoscope or proctoscope to check for source of bacterial infection like Abscess. Once that is treated the problem would wither off.

So I suggest to consult a general surgeon for an examination.
Meantime I suggest perform sitz bath in warm water with Savlon or any antiseptic lotion. You can try it for two days before visiting the surgeon.
