Question : I have had constant sharp lower right quadrant pain for the past four years
I am a 28 year old female and I have no appendix
Nothing was found during lap surgery, nothing found during TV ultrasound, Proctitis was found during colonoscopy but I was told that is not the cause
Pain is made worse by lifting my right leg, sitting up from laying down and pressing on the area deeply and firmly
My dr now thinks it's in my head
It feels like something is tearing inside me 24/7 it is sharp and not one pain killer I have had for it including oramorph has taken the pain away could you help me?

Brief Answer:
Ilio-psoas area

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank for your query, very specific.

Constant sharp pain in the right lower quadrant, for past 4 years, made worse by lifting right leg, sitting up from laying down position and pressing on the area deeply and firmly.

The investigations you mentioned are normal except for proctitis.

I would suggest you the combo-study of MRI for the spine and soft tissues and CT for the bony parts if required.
I am sure, there will be findings, most probably in the psoas and iliacus muscles area, their origin, the spine or the pelvic bone as your history is classical about this problem.
An opinion of an Orthopedic Surgeon may help by clinical evaluation and examination.

Please go to your Doctor, get referral, get investigations done.

I hope this answer helps you.

Brief Answer:
Either to confirm or to rule out as per the history you have provided.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback and additional information that you might have given in the first instance.
With the history you have provided, get the investigations done.
If there is a positive finding go ahead with the treatment as per the findings. The pain on the left side also can be due to the same reasons.
It is already a long time of 4 years as you have mentioned and no diagnosis is done yet.
Secondly the medical field is based on the facts and hence it is important to do investigations either to confirm or rule out the suspected diagnosis based n your history.
I hope this answer helps you.
Get the investigations done, this will help you to get a proper diagnosis.
