Question : I have had a sharp acute pain to my lower right part of my stomach/abdominal area. The pain came to me a few days ago and it stopped me from getting out of bed, sharp pain and caused my stomach to swell slightly. Bowels, temperature blood is fine - just the pain is abnormal and i have not had this before

Acute sharp pain over the right lower abdomen is a concerning feature. It could be an indication of appendicitis or a kidney problem such as urinary tract infection or renal stones.

If you are still in pain, I will recommend you visit a surgeon at the earliest. You will need a thorough clinical examination to check for Mcburney's point tenderness, blood test as well an ultrasound scan.

Meanwhile you can continue using paracetamol along with antispasmodic like dicyclomine.
