Brief Answer:
Can be a muscle stffness.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Doing a daily exercise will keep your knees in a good shape and will keep the strength of the muscles around your knee intact.
The stiffness of the knees can be related to mild muscle stiffness and the osteoporotic changes of the long bones. Do continue with calcium supplements and use a local analgesic gel and a hot compress to decrease the stiffness. Increasing intake of electrolyte rich fluids will also help.
I hope this answers your query.
