Question : i am 73 years old and i wake up 4-5 times a night to urinate. During the day I urinate 9-10 times...is there something i can do?
Brief Answer:
About frequent urination;
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
Frequent urination can be due to high glucose level, urinary infection (diabetic patients are predisposed) or prostate enlargment.
You need to check the blood sugar and HbA1c level, if they are high diabetic treatment should be modified.
If blood glucose and HbA1c are not too much elevated ( HbA1c under 8% and blood glucose under 180 mg / dl) you need to check urine for infection and an ultrasound of the prostate gland to rule out an enlargement.
Hope the information will help.
