Question: I am a 69 year old male 5'10" tall and 195 lbs. My blood pressure is always good, but for the last hour I have had a mild pain which feels like it is in the middle of my heart-it's like a pinpoint. What should, if anything?

Brief Answer:
I strongly recommend to go immediately in the ER, to exclude heart attack..

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Chest pain for more than 30 minutes (in the middle of your heart) is a sign that should be evaluated and never to be underestimated. It may be related to heart attacks and other life threatening cardiovascular disorders.

This is why i strongly recommend to go immediately in the ER, in order to exclude heart attacks.

If you were my patient I would probably have done the following examinations (on ER):
- ECG
- Blood work
- Cardiac enzymes
- Chest x ray
These examinations will help to exclude life threatening cardiovascular disorders.

Wish you health!
