Question: I have a 2 year old daughter. She stopped eating everything including fruits from the past 4-5 months and only drink milk all day round. We tried our best to make her eat something but of no success. Please let me know what can be the problem here and it's solution.

Brief Answer:
Children can be fussy eaters.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Children are known to be fussy eaters. So, some amount of coaxing and manipulation might be required. She might be used to the taste of milk and so she might demand that. But that would not meet her nutritional requirements. She needs solid food, primarily cabohydrates and proteins. Fruits and vegetables come after that. My suggestions for you would be:
* Do not forcefeed the baby. But allow time between meals and let her grow a bit hungry so that she can demand food. Give food only after that.
* Restrict the amount of milk you make available for her. Make other food items like porridge, rice etc. available.
* Take her along when you go to fetch groceries. Let her choose fruits and vegetables. Make food items using those ingredients. She will accept them better.
* All of you sit together at the dinner table while having food. This is important. Make her feel a part of the family and give her the same food that you consume (at least in part). Have food together.
* Introduce one new food item per week and stick to it for the week.

Try these and I am sure that you would see a difference. Gradually move to solid food for her.
