What Causes Positive Pregnancy Result After A Miscarriage?
Question: I was pregnant i was bleeding bloodclots and having bad belly pains i went to the hospital and the said i wasnt loosin any blood and my blood was ok and they sent me for a ultra sound scan and they said i had a miscarriage them done a pregnancy test and it came up negative but i took 4 this week and it came up positive, is it my homones or am i pregnant again?

Well in your case, as you said you had a miscarriage duly confirmed by ultrasound and doctors 4 weeks back .the preg test came to be negative. and now again it is positive.
well there is a catch, firstly the previous preg test immediately after / during ongoing miscarriage cannot be negative immediately. it takes a week to shoulder down the titre of beta hcg.
now if already 4 weeks have passed and again the preg test is postive, there is all possibility that you may be pregnant again if you have not followed any contraceptive measures.
i would suggest you to wait another 2 weeks , and repeat the preg test again and if positive again then , go for an ultrasound pelvis to locate pregnancy of possible retained products of conception.Also, then a serum beta hcg levels may be done 48 hrs apart to know the titre and viability of the ongoing pregnancy ( may be in the tubes -ectopic)
so don't get panic just stay calm and wait for another 2 weeks to have a confirmatory opinion.
