Question: Hi Doc, I was pregnant and took mifeprostone and Misprostol. I have heavy bleeding fr 10 day with heavy blood clots.. In last 2-3 of bleeding I need to change pad in every another half an hour. After 12-14 days of takin this medicine I did home pregnancy test and found it positive. I am worried if I still pregnant. Please guide me. Please tell me is there still probability that I am pregnant.

Brief Answer: it is incomplete abortion Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXXXX Yes, you could still be pregnant. I mean to say, the abortion may not have occurred completely. It is called as incomplete abortion. Some of the foetal parts may still be left inside your uterus. You must undergo an ultrasound of the uterus to look for retained products of conception. And then, the abortion process has to be repeated either through the tablets or by surgical way by doing Dilatation and curettage. Please consult your gynecologist about the same. Get well soon.
