Brief Answer:
Sinusitis. Needs management

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Post nasal dripping, forehead pain, chills and headache and eye pain are all very classic for sinusitis and needs management with symptoms relievers and antibiotics.

You need to be evaluated with some radiographs, allergy test and nasal cultures and if need be nasal endoscopy.

treatment is purely symptomatic. Saline nasal sprays, decongestants over the counter pain relievers , corticosteroids both nasal and oral etc would be needed along with antibiotics.

Talk to your otorhinolaryngologist and let them decide what is best for you.

Meanwhile get some rest, take adequate fluids, moisten your sinuses, use humidifier in room, rinse out your nasal passages with saline water and sleep with your head side of the bed elevated. Avoiding cigarette smoke both active and passive is advised too.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan

I was prescribed a Z-pack, which seemed to initially help, but then the symptoms returned. I am currently on Augmentin and a nasal spray. I'll feel better, extend myself some physically, and then relapse. Also, after walking 3/4 mile to work, I am tired and sweaty. A nap at lunch seems to help somewhat with the tiredness. I've had bloodwork which is normal. Thanks.

Doctor,
Thank you for replies. I thought I had sinus issues as well, but I don't have any green or yellow discharge. Also, when I do feel better and physically exert myself somewhat, the headaches, tired eyes, and just feeling not well returns. How does a sinus issue cause that?

Brief Answer:
sinus may present with out discharge.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

Sinus congestion specially chronic sinusitis may present with out discharge and yellow mucus. When that comes that becomes rhinitis.

Exertion bringing symptoms back is pretty common for sinus involvement.

Although one should be open to other possibilities and that is why I suggested to get evaluated as it will rule out other differentials.

I hope it helps.
