What Causes Presence Of RBCs In Urine?

default
Posted on Wed, 7 Dec 2016
Question: My wife went for a delivery on 23rd October with gestation age of 28 Weeks 6 Days due to Eclampsia.
The baby was premature but doing good now and on feeding.

As of now the medication are as below:
Depin 10 mg: Once daily
Concor 5mg: Once daily
Calonat D3 : Twice a day
Orofer Xt: Once daily.

Yesterday we carried out the Routine Urine test and found RBC is 2~3 RBC/HPF.

The reference data says it should be negative. Is anything to worry about with this RBC value ?

Do you suggest any medication for this ?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, thanks for trusting health care magic
I deeply sympathise and hope for the best of health of the baby.
This much RBCs are normal in urine and thus nothing to worry and no other test is needed.
Just monitor her Blood pressure regularly and ask her to keep taking the anti hypertension pills as advised.
Take care
