Question : I had a gallium scan done and there was nothing wrong with me. I had a UTI cullture done and they found nothing. I still have blood and protein in my urine. What could be causing this in light of my tests? I also get high fevers 3-4 times a week.
Brief Answer:
mention initial symptoms and reports done.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
It would be necessary to know what is the amount of protein you lose in 24 hours, and whether urine AFB,and micro-albumin tests have been done. What are the present medications you're taking and a brief description of your symptoms and the initial Ultrasound scan and CT-SCAN report,if done. If cystoscopy test has been done, kindly include the report. If not done,it's advisable to get it done.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I don't remember the specific results except they were negative. The medications are listed in my profile. My symptoms are my fever, blood and protein on urine dipsticks.
Brief Answer:
Specific tests for bleeding and protein loss needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Protein on urine dipsticks may not be significant. One has to get 24 hours urine protein tested to know, if protein loss is significant and needs treatment.Again, blood on urine dipsticks alone is not enough to know severity of bleeding. You should have a cystoscopy test done, to know if if significant bleeding is there in the bladder. In that case, the doctor will advise accordingly. If not , don't worry about it. Maintain 8-10 glasses of liquids daily.
Get well soon.
